Zante

Get to know Zante

Zakynthos is a greek island in the Ionian Sea, internationally known as Zante.

The third largest of the Ionian Islands after Kefalonia and Corfu, it has a coastline of 123 km.

White beaches, sea turtles and partying around the clock make Zakynthos a favourite holiday destination

Set sail for fabulous beaches, each one more magical than the last.

The sea and coast around Zakynthos were picked for Greece’s first marine park. During spring the endangered turtle sub-species Cajreiia Careiia set off for Zante from the Libyan Sea and the
southern Adriatic.
This is where the rare Caretia Caretia sea turtles lay their eggs in the sands of Gerakas, Dafni, Kalamaki, Marathonisi and, especially, Sakania, east of Laganas, as they always have. If you’re lucky
enough to witness this spectacle, please don’t disturb!
